Knife Box




Nice example of an 18th century knife box


Pine segments were cut out on the bandsaw and trimmed on the router table
using a nailed on pattern and a flush cutting router bit.


Segments were stacked and checked for fit


Stack glued in the main vise





Centerline maintains symmetry


Mahogany crossbanding glued on




Center panel glued using a segmented gluing caul and a sheet
of neoprene
