Knife Box




Nice example of an 18th century knife box


Pine segments were cut out on the bandsaw and trimmed on the router table
using a nailed on pattern and a flush cutting router bit.


Segments were stacked and checked for fit


Stack glued in the main vise





Centerline maintains symmetry


Mahogany crossbanding glued on




Center panel glued using a segmented gluing caul and a sheet
of neoprene

Hall Cabinet



The case is dovetailed, top and bottom








Mid rail is dovetailed


Drawer front is fitted

Base mould is glued




Drawer is complete

Panel door parts are cut and fit


Panel door is dry fitted


Stain complete

Nice grain


Back made from reclaimed pine
